Kurzweil K2000 Support

One of the best features of the K2000 is the support available for it. This support is offered officially by Kurzweil and unofficially by a whole lot of brilliant and generous folks. If you have some specific questions about the K2000, here are some places for you to go (If you're just looking for sounds and samples, check out Resources):

The K2000 Mail List

If you'd like clarification on anything you find on this page, why not send a question off to the internet K2000 mailing list? If you're a list subscriber, you'll probably see several good answers to your question in very short order. If you're not a subscriber yet, why not subscribe now? Don't cost nuthin'.

Don't be shy--you'd be surprised how many lurkers there are on the list wondering the same things you're wondering. Besides, there's no way you can embarrass yourself by asking really stupid questions. I've already taken care of that for you. So ask away.

Important! If you have not yet subscribed to the mailing list, then mention that you are visiting the Programmers' Corner and need an e-mail response. Otherwise, other list subscribers will post their answers to your question directly to the list, where you'll never see it.

Kurzweil Owner's Group (KOG)

Glenn Workman of Freq Sound produces a marvelous newsletter for K2000 owners. He shares freely his knowledge of programming the K2000 and publishes guest articles as well. Further, he maintains a wide selection of inexpensive and public domain programs and samples. His work is simultaneously one of the least expensive and most useful resources for K2000 owners I have seen.

My most recent information is that Glenn makes his newsletter available only for the cost of postage. Back issues are about $1.00. Disks are $3.00 apiece. I strongly suggest you drop him a line and ask about obtaining your own subscription to the KOG newsletter.
