The Sysex Project
The Sysex Project is a joint effort of K2000 owners to develop a
better understanding of their instruments. The owners pool what
they have learned about K2000 sysex commands into a central
location, which can be freely accessed by all. This eliminates
the need for individuals to uncover all of the K2000 sysex commands
independently and creates an information database that can be
used for deeper explorations.

- K2000 .KRZ Info--A valiant and unofficial attempt to parse out the program structure on the K2000, and provide information for sysex programming.
- Table Codes and Parameters--A huge list of tables that can serve as a ready reference when trying to convert table parameters to sysex codes. Developed by Bill Simpson. Click here to see a brief sample of the work, then click here to download the .ZIP file for the complete document..

The K2000 Sysex Project
What it is
The Sysex Project is a joint effort of K2000 owners to develop a
better understanding of their instruments. The owners pool what
they have learned about K2000 sysex commands into a central
location, which can be freely accessed by all. This eliminates
the need for individuals to uncover all of the K2000 sysex commands
independently and creates an information database that can be
used for deeper explorations.
Who can participate
Anyone, except for those who have signed a non-disclosure
agreement with Y/C Kurzweil and those who possess information
originally obtained under a non-disclosure agreement. Piracy of
information will be neither condoned nor tolerated. This project
is one of self-education and teamwork, nothing more.
How to participate
If you have personally identified a sysex command/commands and
can explain its/their function, either send an email message to
K2000@american.edu with the subject heading "The Sysex Project"
or send the information to kcowgill@infinet.com.

Active Contributors
- Robert Fries and John Krikawa--Fries got rid of his K2000 years ago. Don't know what happened to Krikawa. But it was Fries who first untangled the .KRZ file, and Krikawa who offered some editing, corrections, and enhancements.
- The Kurzweil Corporation
--Mainly, the overworked techs who put together and released the C Header files for us to enjoy.
Chris Martin--Who mysteriously goes by the name "Frank" and is contributing a large work-in-progress on K2000 Sysex codes.
Bill Simpson--Who doped out the huge list of table parameters, considered offering it for sale, and then donated it here instead. Tell him thanks, why don't you?
